  • Anywhere in the world: Furfrou has a small chance of appearing anywhere in the wild, although it’s more common in urban areas. Look out near parks, landmarks, and other points of interest.
  • Regional forms: While you can catch the base Furfrou anywhere, some of its regional trims require you to be in specific locations:
    • Debutante Trim: North and South America
    • Diamond Trim: Europe, Middle East, and Africa
    • Star Trim: Asia-Pacific
    • La Reine Trim: France only
    • Kabuki Trim: Japan only

Other methods:

  • Photobombing: Take a snapshot of another Pokemon, and there’s a chance Furfrou might photobomb it!
  • Field Research tasks: Occasionally, Field Research tasks will reward you with an encounter with Furfrou. Check your available tasks regularly.
  • Trading: If you know someone with a Furfrou willing to trade, you can try your luck there!

Important notes:

  • Unfortunately, the “Misunderstood Mischief” Special Research that featured Furfrou is no longer available.
  • While Furfrou isn’t currently part of any events, it could be featured again, so keep an eye out for announcements from Niantic.
